When hiring a vehicle to travel to the Continent, there are a number of additional factors to consider. Additional charges will apply for Continental travel and we will be happy to provide you with a detailed quotation on request.
INSURANCE
We will organise comprehensive insurance cover for the vehicle you require, a Green Card, VE103, Letter of Authority and Breakdown Cover. In addition, we will provide a Continental Breakdown Emergency Kit.
Please note that Southern Ireland is outside the UK.
If you are travelling through any major French cities, please be aware that an environmental scheme has been introduced in France called "CRIT’Air" and is designed to improve air quality. Windscreen stickers, known as "Vignettes", need to be displayed showing the vehicle's emissions. The major cities are Paris, Lyon, Grenoble, Lille, Strasbourg, Toulouse, Chambery and Marseille but please check before travelling no others have been added.
